PongLens is a performance hub for competitive table tennis players.

It turns the matches you film into a point-by-point record of your game, that you can score, study, analyze, and review with your coach.

Bring in the match you filmed on your phone, and say who you played. It lands in your library, and you choose when to turn it into points.

You can film the match in the PongLens mobile app too. It shows you where to put the camera, and the upload is running before you pack up.

Your processed match comes back as pure table tennis. The dead time between points is removed, and what is left is every point you played.

Playback is built for studying. Hold one side of the screen for double speed, or the other for quarter speed, and zoom in when you want to see your form up close.

You can replay the point you are on, or jump straight to any other point in the match.

And you can stop on a frame to write a note on that point or draw on it, without leaving the video.

Scoring a match yourself takes under ten minutes in Score the Match. It plays the points one after another, you tap who won each one, and the score, the game count and the serve rotation keep themselves up to date.

And every point you score becomes the data your analysis is built on.

A scored match can answer real questions you didn't know before, like how many points you win off serve receive, and how you perform during high pressure points.

Keep scoring, and the same picture builds over time.

PongLens also builds placement maps, so you can see what your opponent kept doing to you, and what kept working for you.

When a rally deserves an audience, export your starred highlights or the whole match for social media,

with the score burned into the picture, so it reads like a real match wherever you post it.

Or share the same points as a link, so friends and family can watch the highlights.

You can invite your coach into the match itself. They review it from anywhere, drop a written comment, draw on the frame, or leave a voice note on that exact point.

Or get your match professionally reviewed, with what is costing you points and the exact points to watch.

Lessons, notes, even pages from your notebook end up in one searchable journal.

You can also ask your journal a question, and it answers from what you have written.

And Recollect turns your lessons into practice cards.

They come back for you to answer again over time, so what your coach told you months ago does not fade.

Your match already contains a record of how you play. PongLens makes that record useful. Upload your first match today.

From recording to analysis

Record the match

Put your phone diagonally behind you and raised a little, in landscape, with the whole table in frame. The PongLens mobile app shows you where to put it, and starts the upload while you play.

Questions

What does PongLens do?

You upload a table tennis match video. PongLens removes the dead time and cuts the match into individual points, so you can review each one, add notes, and share the match with your coach.

What do I need to record a match?

Just a phone. Set it on a tripod or prop it up with a side view of the table, record your match, and upload the file.

How long does processing take?

Usually under 30 minutes, though it can take longer depending on the length of the recording.

Is PongLens free?

PongLens is currently free for players during early access.

What happens to my videos? Are they private?

Your videos stay private. They're kept in private storage that only your account (and anyone you share with) can access. Original uploads are deleted 30 days after upload. Cut videos are deleted after 30 days, and your point clips stay while your account is active. Nothing is sold or shared with advertisers.

What video formats can I upload?

MP4 or MOV files up to 2 GB. A normal phone recording of a full match fits comfortably. You can also import a match straight from a YouTube link.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. PongLens runs in the browser, so you can record on your phone and upload directly. The iPhone app is also available in beta through TestFlight.

How does the AI work?

PongLens uses computer vision to tell live play from downtime and to split your match into points. It only analyzes the footage you upload. It never alters your video or generates synthetic footage.
